BASIC architecture + interiors Receives Architectural Contract for Richland Hills Church of Christ

Dallas, TX: BASIC architecture + interiors (BAI) is pleased to announce that the firm has been awarded a contract to renovate and/or expand their existing Auditorium/Worship Center to “create a more intimate worship setting with the possibility of a design that would provide an experience that would be more participatory rather than performance oriented”. The existing auditorium seats approximately 2,100 in pews and temporary chairs and has been designed to be expandable to approximately double that capacity. This Phase I will focus on a detailed Schematic Design package that will support an associated Capital Campaign, anticipated to begin in April or May of this year.
At this time, RHCC is interested in having the BASIC design team develop options that explore various renovation and/or expansion scenarios that address these requirements. BASIC will also evaluate the impact of the Worship Center expansion and associated requirements for growth to ministries and related facilities on the RHCC campus.
BASIC architecture + interiors specialize in the development, design, and production of religious environments and planned developments. With approximately 25 employees, we have offices in the Landmark Center of the Historic West End Market Place in Dallas and in Kennedale, Texas.
BASIC has considerable experience in master planning and designing worship facilities and multi-purpose environments. Recently completed projects include the design and construction of three new facilities for Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas; including the development of a Master Plan for their new 125 acre satellite campus in Prosper, Texas. In addition, we are currently designing innovative new Youth Education facilities for First Baptist Church in Colleyville, Texas and First Baptist Church in Wylie, Texas.
